Calgary Twitter party fails to meet hype

#Project?Kris, the Calgary house party that went viral around the world, turned out to be a bust.

Shortly after 8 p.m., the address for the party was announced over Twitter and it turned out to be The Back Alley nightclub on Macleod Trail.

After the announcement, Twitter was flooded with disappointed tweets from teenagers about the decision to hold the party at a nightclub.

Earlier in the day, police said they had talked to the parents of the kids who were planning the party and said they were going to monitor the situation.

#ProjectKris started trending earlier this week after Hunter Mills tweeted that his friend Kris Morrey was going to host a house party.

The hashtag went viral around the globe.
